It’s Official! RLCV moves into new campus.

Happy Sunday and start to your October!

In Nepal, October is a month of celebration. It marks the end of monsoon season with cool air and clear blue skies, the start of trekking season, and it welcomes Nepal’s greatest festival of all - Dashain - celebrating the change of seasons and the goddess Durga’s triumph of good over evil. In western cultures, October is equally cherished amidst fall festivals, red and golden leaves, and of course getting into character for Halloween.

For Rising Lotus, we are adding one more incredible reason to celebrate, as this week WE MADE THE OFFICIAL MOVE INTO OUR NEW CAMPUS !!! This achievement marks the end of a year’s long journey and decades long dream to care for our girls in our very own campus.

The move in was no easy feat, with RLCV Director Hari and our local friends laying carpet, finishing walls, installing appliances, and moving each bed, desk, table and shelf! The girls had fun helping as well, getting the new library and recreation rooms fully stocked and decorated! There are plenty of project that lie ahead, but today we celebrate this dream becoming reality.

We would not have been able to provide these lifegiving facilities without the financial support of our supporters in Nepal and around the world. Your belief in our mission supports our work empowering girls and young women through education and a nurturing home environment. We look forward to hosting you upon your next visit to Kathmandu.

As we bring RLCV’s heart into a new home, we welcome you to share our story with your circles. There is nothing better than giving a gift which enriches another’s life. There are sponsorship options for any budget, opportunities which will enrich your life as much as it will benefit theirs. Thank you for making our work possible.

Lots of love,
RLCV Directors Tracy, Hari & Nate
