Our Beautiful New Home

Happy Sunday and now start to your November!

Today, we want to spread some joy with you! We were privileged to have high quality photos taken of our campus this week. WOW for starters! We now showcase what the profound support of our RLCV community has enabled for our organization, and thus the lives of thirty girls. We are still in awe of what can be accomplished when we come come together with an inspired vision.

A lot has happened since we last checked in one month ago. The joyous Dashain festival kicked off in Nepal and Hindu nations around the globe. Our girls have completed their quarterly exams and returned home to spend the month at home with their extended families. And our director Hari and his partner Bishnu welcomed home his two sons, together for the first time in 5 years, and visited the holy birthplace of Siddhartha: Lumbini. We are so happy for them and for the girls to have this time with their loved ones.

It must be said however that we write this message with a heavy heart. The world has witnessed the horrendous events of October 7th and the humanitarian crisis which has followed, without a resolution in sight. Closer to home, communities in Jajarkot Western Nepal are suffering their own crisis in response to yesterday’s 6.4 magnitude earthquake, with hundreds losing their homes and lives. We are proud to say our partner organization KEEP Nepal is raising funds to support this community with lifegiving supplies. We will communicate ways to donate in the coming days. Our thought and prayers are with those suffering.

Thank you to each of you who continue to support our mission empowering young women through education and a nurturing home. The impacts we make in children’s lives would not be possible without your continued financial support. More information on how to join our community can be found here.

Please enjoy the photos and video from Hari and keep doing good where you are with what you have. The world is a better place for it.

Lots of love,
Your RLCV Family
