Spread the love: Rising Lotus Children’s Village 4th annual Holiday Penpal Program 2024

Welcome ! You are in the right place.

Firstly, happy holidays! We are so happy you are here to connect with a Rising Lotus girl who is equally as excited and appreciative of your expression of care this holiday season. We have had hundreds of participants over the past two years send letters to our girls, and this year in our 4TH rendition of the RLCV Holiday Pen Pal Program, we want to provide you with the opportunity to give the greatest gift you can give a child: your affection.

The question now: how to participate? This is the easy part. In past renditions, we have worked with participants to send care packages and physical letters to Nepal. Even though this was simply amazing, and the girls so appreciated your packages, unfortunately, many were undelivered due to the Nepali post’s unreliability. So, this year, we are asking you to create and send your holiday cards digitally. How? However you like! Here are the easy steps below:

RLCV Holiday Pen Pal Program Instructions

Step 1: Sign up via the Google Form.

Step 2: Create a digital holiday card(s) using whatever designer tool you like best: Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Paint, etc. Additionally, you can make a card physically and simply take a high-quality photo. We are easy! And then you can keep this card in your home as a reminder of the difference you are making in a child’s life. We will be sharing a Canva holiday card creation tutorial soon.

Step 3: Email your card AND a photo of you and/plus your family to include with the card. You can send a video too as long as it is not too large to email!

Step 4: Email you card(s), photo(s), and video to us at info@risinglotuschildrensvillage.org.

What to expect after?

Well, we will be compiling your messages to deliver them all on the same night later in December. From there, you will receive a thank-you video featuring the Rising Lotus girls expressing their gratitude, along with a delightful performance where they may share a traditional dance or simply celebrate the joy your messages bring. This shared moment of appreciation is our way of closing the loop and letting you know just how impactful your participation is.
