For reference, director Hari was one of the first people to discover how the Chepang people of Kanda were living back in 2006. Since then, he has dedicated himself to helping develop the region, partly by bringing 12 girls to Risng Lotus to receive education, healthcare, balanced nutrition and social interaction.
The Chepang caste of Nepal are known for their isolated and tribal existience. They are located in southern and central Nepali districts and speak their own language.
